Picture of the Xiaomi Mi 7 shows fingerprint sensor on the screen

Earlier this month, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun revealed at the Snapdragon conference held in Hawaii that Xiaomi’s future flagship smartphone will use the Snapdragon 845 chipset, as expected. We all know that you are talking about the Xiaomi Mi 7, which is scheduled to arrive early next year. Since then, we have had numerous reports and speculations regarding this upcoming Xiaomi smartphone. Now, a new rendering of this smartphone appeared online and revealed some features that are not consistent with previous renderings.

The first noticeable feature that can be seen is on the front, where you can see on this device a fingerprint sensor on the screen. This is quite surprising because recently, Synaptics, which has been dedicated to the massive production of this feature, confirmed that Vivo would be the first manufacturer to use this feature on her phone, followed by Huawei. Nowhere was Xiaomi mentioned, which sparked speculation that the great Chinese company was concentrating on developing the 3D facial recognition feature in its Mi 7. This render shows a completely bezel-less display, which is much better than previous versions. On the back, it has a dual camera arranged horizontally with the LED flash facing left of the camera.

Probable characteristics of the Xiaomi Mi 7

From previous reports, the Xiaomi Mi 7 would have a 5.65-inch screen with a full screen 18 – 9 design, double glass, metal frame design, wireless charging support and other functions. In the photography department, it has a combination of 12MP + 20MP rear camera with IMX380 + IMX350 sensors. It is reported that comes with 6GB of RAM (which is probably the smallest size of RAM) since it is assumed that the best versions have a larger memory. As for the battery, there are speculations that the Mi 7 will use a 3200 mAh battery. This device will cost around 2699 yuan ($ 408).

Also keep in mind that there are also reports of a plus model, which is believed to come with a slightly larger screen, with 6.01 inches, a 3500 mAh battery and that would cost 2999 yuan ($ 454). The year is already over, so we hope to see official information soon about the new and expected Xiaomi device.
