Redmi 8A Launched in India; Find The Full Specs, Price & Sale Date

Xiaomi has finally launched its Redmi 8A today in India at noon during an event. Redmi 8A is the successor to Redmi 7A. The company has provided an Aura Wave Grip design and a splash-resistant P2i nano-coating to the Redmi 8A.  You will find a waterdrop style notch display, wireless FM radio, USB Type-CB and a huge 5000mAh battery along with fast charging support. All these make Redmi 8A the best budget smartphone in the current Indian market with the most amazing features and specs.

Xiaomi has also said that Redimi 8A is a strong competitor to phones like Realme C2 and Samsung Galaxy M10.

Redmi 8A Specifications

The phone runs on MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie and features 6.22-inch HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19:9. The phone’s display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Redmi 8A is powered by the Snapdragon 439 Soc chipset along with up to 3GB of RAM.

Moving towards the camera department, the phone has a 12 MP camera with Sony IMX363 image sensor at the rear side and an 8MP camera on the front. You will also find features like AI Portrait mode and AI Scene Detection.

You will not fingerprint sensor but there is AI Face Unlock feature for security. The connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm jack.

The phone will run on a 5000mAh Li-Polymer battery and supports 18W fast charging. However, Xiaomi will give a 10W charger inside the box and you need to buy an 18W charger if you want fast charging.

Redmi 8A Price & Sale Date

The phone will be available in two storage variants- 2GB RAM/32GB storage and 3GB RAM/32GB storage. The base variant has been priced at Rs 6,499 and the increased RAM variant will be priced at Rs 6,999.

Redmi 8A will on sale from 30th September 2019 through Flipkart and MI store. You will find Redmi 8A in three color options- Midnight Black, Blue Ocean, and Sunset Red.
