Samsung Galaxy A6 (2018) has been unveiled by the company, the device was seen in a shopping store in Indonesia. The Galaxy A6 (2018) sports the company’s Super AMOLED screen with infinity display.
This is coming barely 3 months after the A8 (2018) midrange smartphone was unveiled as well. Internally, the A6 (2018) houses the Exynos 7870 chip with Octa-core processor. There’s a 64GB storage and 4GB RAM version among other features. Lets dig in.

Design
First thing you would notice from the back, is the uniquely curved dual antenna lines at the top and bottom corner. The top antenna line sleekly conects to the foundation that houses the rear camera and fingerprint scanner, as seen on the Galaxy S9.
Right beside the foundation is the LED flash, while the Samsung logo is in its usual position. When you turn over to the sides, it measures 7.7mm in thickness. Which is really tiny and sleek to hold when out and about. You can get it in Black, Gold, Blue and Lavender colors.
Display
Another midrange Samsung smartphone with the trending bezel-less display. This isn’t the first smartphone from the A series with the feature though. With no physical home button in sight, Samsung is gradually letting go of their beloved home button.
At the top bezel we can see the selfie camera, speaker grille, sensor and LED flash. The 5.6-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen stretches from side to side. Boasting of 720 x 1480 pixels in resolution and 294 pixel per inch density. The screen dishes out an 18.5:9 aspect ratio and stretches up 75% screen to body ratio.

Hardware and Software
Under the hood, the Exynos 7870 chip from Samsung takes charge with an Octa-core processor and 64-bit CPU architecture. The 8-cores of processor here reaches a ckock speed of 1.6GHz with 14nm FinFET process technology for a smooth ride. In the graphics department, the Mali-T830 MP1 graphics processor dominates.
There are two versions in terms of RAM and internal storage space, there’s a standard version with 4GB RAM for multitasking and 64GB storage space. While the cheaper variant has 3GB RAM and 32GB storage space to accommodate files. Both storage spaces are upgradeable up to 256GB, as it runs on Android 8.0 Oreo.
Camera
A single 16MP shooter is available here with f/1.7 aperture and LED flash for taking amazing photographs even in low light. Features on the camera includes phase detection autofocus, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, HDR and others. You can record videos of 1080 pixels at 30 frames per second, and take cute selfies with the 16MP selfie camera which has f/1.9 aperture as well. A front LED flash is available for night selfies.

Battery
Powering the Samsung Galaxy A6 (2018) is a 3000mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery with no fast charging technology. However, even without the fast charging feature, it shouldn’t take up to 2.2 hours to fully charge up the battery from 0% to 100%.
