The company made this revelation in its latest results report, where it stated that competition in the market will intensify as the brands seek to recover the lost ground in the first half of this year. In fact, Samsung did not speak directly of the name of these devices, but of new Note and foldable models. This comes after some news in Korean media (the land of Samsung) realizes that the Galaxy Note 20 and Fold 2 are well underway. Samsung usually updates the Note range around the month of August each year.
The comprehensive report on the first quarter also revealed other interesting details. Right from the start, it points out that the Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy S20 Ultra registered higher than expected sales, which helped the company in the first quarter.
However, this manufacturer also intends to take the 5G for cheaper smartphones by the end of this year. This should stimulate the adoption of the new network in the coming months.
As far as leaks are concerned, things were surprisingly quiet. For now, there is talk of an improved pen in the case of the Note, better cameras, and design with a few more touches. Galaxy Fold 2 will certainly be the most interesting. According to one of the heads of Display Supply Consultants, Ross Young, the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 will likely have a 7.59-inch internal screen with a resolution of 2,213 x 1,689 pixels. It will also have a 120Hz refresh rate.
It goes without saying that Samsung wants to overcome the shortcomings of the original Fold. This with a larger external screen, more durable UTG (ultra-thin glass) glass, better cameras, and above all very few loose ends.
