Not too long after launching the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2017) in India, the South Korean company doesn’t seem to be cutting themselves some slack as another device have been unveiled by the top smartphone brand.

The new device, Samsung Galaxy J7 Core is another refined version of the Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) and it comes with better and improved specifications. Let’s walk through some of the features.

DESIGN AND DISPLAY

Samsung Galaxy J7 Core

The Samsung Galaxy J7 Core shares a lot of similarities with the Galaxy J7 (2017). The device is a mid-range smartphone and it comes with a metal and plastic body build, a 152.4 mm x 78.6 mm x 7.6 mm dimension and weighs 170 grams together with the built-in battery.

The button at the front serves the sole function of taking users from anywhere on the screen to the home/desktop; it plays no other function and shouldn’t be mistaken for a fingerprint sensor as the device lacks one.

There is a 2.5D curved glass covering the 5.5 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. The Samsung Galaxy J7 Core screen comes with a display resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and a 267 pixels per inch (ppi) pixel density. Just about the perfect size suited for movies, reading books and decent mobile gaming experience.

PROCESSOR OS AND STORAGE

The Samsung Galaxy J7 Core runs on the Android v7.0 Nougat OS, laced with Samsung’s native TouchWiz User interface. The device comes in the company of 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in memory to handle storage activities. The internal memory can however be expanded to the region of 256GB by placing an external micro SD card in the dedicated memory card slot.

Samsung utilized her Exynos 7 Octa 7870 chipset and an Octa core Cortex-A53 processor with a clock speed of 1.6 GHz on the Galaxy J7 Core.

CAMERA AND BATTERY

The primary shooter on the rear is a 13 megapixels sensor which comes with a LED flash light. The secondary shooter also comes with a LED flash light but it is a lower 5 megapixels sensor.

A 3,000 mAh Lithium Ion battery powers the Samsung Galaxy J7 Core and keeps it running. The battery is non-removable and the device lacks the Fast Charge Technology.
