Samsung VR application is updated to support Galaxy A8 (2024) & Android Oreo

Samsung has launched Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8 Plus (2018). This is the first Galaxy A to be equipped with Virtual Reality Gear VR. In addition, Samsung has also updated the Samsung VR application to be compatible with the new smartphone duo.

In addition, the Samsung VR also supports Galaxy devices running Android 8.0 Oreo, such as the Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 Plus and Note 8 are about to be updated to Android Oreo early next year.

What is Samsung VR?

The Samsung VR is actually a library of compelling virtual reality VR videos, and users can experience this content right on supported Galaxy devices. There are countless VR 360 videos that users can access through this application.

In particular, the application also allows users to upload personal videos for viewing.

VR videos are organized into different categories including sports, nature, science, automotive and machinery, travel and more. Videos can be downloaded for viewing by Gear VR.

Even people without VR Gear can watch 360 VR videos with this app. Users simply move their phones around or swipe on the screen to rotate in different directions.
