Sony is not going through its best moment in the smartphone market but has no intention of surrendering. Sony H8526 is the code name of the new device star of the Japanese firm, which has gone through Geekbench to show the enormous potential of its Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor.
Sony H8526 is passed by Geekbench showing the benefits of the new processor; Qualcomm Snapdragon 855
Sony H8526 has achieved a result in Geekbench of 3033 points and 10992 points in the tests of single core and multicore respectively. These results put it 30% above what Snapdragon 845, the current top processor of the North American manufacturer, is capable of doing. However, these results place it below the Apple A11 processor used in the iPhone X, which obtains 4,250 and 10,100 points in the same conditions.
If we look further back, the Snapdragon 835 offered a performance of 2,000 and 6,700 points, which makes clear the great improvement experienced by Qualcomm range top processors in two generations. All this without forgetting that the Sony H8526 is still in its development phase, so it is very likely that the optimization will be improved before the release of the final version, which could further improve its performance. The Snapdragon 855 will have a 2 Gbps LTE modem and with the optional X50 modem, you can also have 5G connectivity.
For now, Apple will continue to be the queen of performance on mobile devices, although Android terminals also offer exceptional performance, and with all the advantages of customization and adjustments of the Google operating system. What do you expect from this new Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor?
