The smartphone features almost the same features as the Xperia R1 with a bit of addition coming in and that is not far-fetched as the naming convention already depicts such. Display & Design
You just can’t separate both devices here as the Sony Xperia R1 Plus sports the same 5.2-inch 2.5D curved glass display with HD (720 * 1280 pixels) resolution as the Xperia R1. The smartphone comes in a well-rounded metal design in Black and Silver colours and measures 8.89mm in thickness and 154g in weight making it easy to get your hands over.
Storage & Processor
The Xperia R1 Plus will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 Mobile platform with Adreno 505 GPU handling graphics to prevent lagging and difficulties while navigating through demanding applications and games. It comes with 3GB of RAM plus 32GB of internal memory, the only significant difference between itself and the Xperia R1. Its storage is expandable up to 128GB using a microSD.
The Xperia R1 Plus sports a 13MP rear predictive Autofocus camera with LED Flash as well as a 8MP wide-angle Selfie camera for a wider field of view on your selfies with friends and family. Both cameras offer 12 different capturing modes for crisp, smooth image experience.
Battery & Connectivity
The Xperia R1 Plus houses a non-removable 2620mAh battery which offers hours of non-stop gaming, messaging and all kinds of fun. Connectivity options include; Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, FM Radio.
Software
The device will run Android 7.1 Nougat operating system out of the box but is upgradable to the new Android 8.0 Oreo OS.

Availability and Price of Sony Xperia R1 Plus
The Sony Xperia R1 Plus will cost Rs. 2,000 higher than the Xperia R1 at Rs. 14990 when it goes on sale across India starting November 10th. The smartphone comes in Black and Silver colours.
