Spotify will soon present an official app for the Apple Watch, the corresponding promo video seems to be ready. Currently, this is being tested in the beta group of the Spotify app for iOS. If everything works well, the release should follow very soon.
What is missing at this point and what probably most would have wished for – Offline support. It looks like you can not save music on the Apple Watch with the app. So basically it’s just for controlling the music. And it does not actually need its own app, it works that way.
A pity, I had high hopes in this app. Let’s see what Spotify will say in the release. If you completely exclude offline support, that would be worth a second test of Apple Music. But that’s not surprising either, because the Wear OS app cannot do that either.
