The Swipe Elite Dual is now official, the budget smartphone was launched in India over the weekend. According to Swipe, the Elite Dual is the most cheapest smartphone in India with dual rear cameras.
With that being said, it’s obvious the company focused on the camera of this smartphone. Not only does it come with the dual shooters, the device is also portable with low-level specs. Want to know more? Stay with me.
Design
Beautiful and portable at the same time, the plastic body looks magnificent on a sunny day. The curved sides and edges will give a perfect grip to users. The highlight of the device, the two dual shooters sits pretty at the top left corner, in a horizontal format. A dual-LED flash sits beside the camera to the right, ready to take over the night.
There’s no rear fingerprint scanner in sight which is really disappointing to be honest. The Swipe logo is at the bottom corner, while the Elite inscription is at the middle. Furthermore, it measures 10.3mm in thickness and weighs just 135g overall. It’s available in Champagne Gold and Black colors only.
Display
The Elite Dual is nowhere near bezel-less, as the screen could only get to 65.9 screen to body ratio. Three navigation buttons are visible at the bottom bezel for users to navigate easily. While the top bezel houses the selfie camera, speaker grille and LED flash.
The portable 5-inch FWVGA IPS capacitive touchscreen displays like a budget smartphone. Boasting of 845 x 480 pixels in resolution and 194 pixel per inch density. Don’t expect magic with the screen though, it has a 24-bit color depth and supports multi-touch as well.
Hardware and Software
The system on chip is the Spreadtrum SC9832A with 32-bit CPU architecture and 4-cores of processor. The quad-core processor on the Swipe Elite Dual reaches just a speed of 1.3 GHz alongside a 28nm process technology. Managing graphics is the ARM Mali-400 MP2 graphics processor that clocks at 512MHz.
Experience smooth multitasking with 1GB of RAM, it has a memory speed of about 533 MHz for light multitasking. For storage, there’s an 8GB internal storage space upgradeable up to 32GB using a memory card. The Elite Dual runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.
Camera
Definitely the highlight of the device, the dual 8MP + 2MP shooters shouldn’t be underestimated. The camera comes with a dual-LED flash and captures 4K resolution images with ease. Both shooters will work together with other features to take photographs with 4163 x 3122 pixels in dimension. Record high-definition videos of 720 pixels at 30 frames per second and take selfies with the 5MP selfie shooter. The selfie camera at the top bezel comes with a LED flash, for late night video calls as well.
Battery
Powering the Swipe Elite Dual is a 3000mAh removable Li-Po battery with no fast charging technology. Even without the fast charging feature, it shouldn’t take more than 2.3 hours to fully charge up the battery from 0% to 100%.
