Symphony Roar V78 is another affordable smartphone you might be interested in. Released on the 10th of February, the budget smartphone was made for the low class individuals and packs 16GB internal storage space. One of the most saturated category in the smartphone world, is low range phones. They are practically everywhere these days, and the Roar V78 is now officially one of them. But is the phone worth? Well, lets find out.
Design
The body was made completely from plastic but you’ll hardly notice from a distance. Love the way the Symphony logo was written just above the rear speaker at the bottom. While the Roar V78 logo is underneath the rear camera and LED flash, which sits side by side at the top.

Even with the low battery capacity, the phone isn’t that slim, measuring 9.1 mm in thickness. But it weighs 140.5g overall and available in Black and Blue colors. The body is very compact and portable and should be very easy to operate.
Display
So it obviously has an 18:9 aspect ratio but there are still much bezels all over the screen. Well here’s the deal, it didn’t get up to the 70% mark, reaching just 69.2% screen to body ratio. Can we call that a bezel-less screen? I don’t think so, the bottom bezels are useless, since there’s no navigation buttons there.
The portable 4.95-inch FWVGA+ IPS Capacitive touchscreen is a stunner, well, for budget users. It boasts of 960 x 480 pixels in resolution and 216 pixel per inch density for immense clarity. The multi-touch screen has an 18:9 aspect ratio, and protected by the 2.5D Curved Glass screen.
Hardware and Software
It houses the Spreadtrum SC7731G chip with Quad-core processor clocking at 1.3GHz. It boasts of a 64-bit CPU architecture and 28nm standard process technology. For graphics, the ARM Mali-400 MP2 graphics processor is in charge with peak speed of 400MHz.
The 1GB RAM space on this device reaches a memory speed of 533MHz, for smooth and light multitasking. For storage, 16GB internal storage space is available, which you can also upgrade up to 32GB using a memory card. The Roar V78 runs smoothly on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with modified user interface.
Camera
At the back, there’s a single 5MP Samsung camera with f/2.2 aperture for all your photography needs. The camera captures just 2K resolution images, with image dimension up to 2582 x 1936 pixels. The features on the camera and LED flash beside it should help in low light environment, but don’t expect magic
The video resolution is extremely low, shooting videos of 480pixels @ 30 frames per second. For selfies, there’s another 5MP front shooter with f/2.2 aperture as well for cute selfies. The front facing camera also comes with LED flash for video calling in dark places.
Battery
Powering the Symphony Roar V78 is a 2000mAh removable Li-Ion battery, with no fast battery charging feature. It shouldn’t take more than 1.8 hours to fully charge up a 2000mAh battery.
