Motorola currently has a number of phones it plans to release in the near future and some of them are phones in the Moto G series and the new Moto E series as well. One of the phones expected to be released in the latter series is the Moto E7 Plus and it just might be the first phone to run on the new Snapdragon 460 which was announced a few months ago.
The Moto E7 Plus was spotted on Geekbench on Monday but the listing labeled the chipset “guam.” According to some speculation, the processor featured on the phone may be the Snapdragon 662 which Qualcomm announced back in January but it is the Snapdragon 460 mobile platform.
The folks at DealnTech have suggested that the developer codes of the motherboard which has the CPU core and GPU configuration indicate that there are four cores featured on the processor which clocked at 1.61GHz while another four cores clocked at 1.80GHz. Now, this CPU configuration for the Snapdragon 460 is for the Snapdragon 460, not the Snapdragon 662. The CPU configuration for the Snapdragon 662 is different and it has a clock speed of 2.0 GHz. Both processors, however, feature the same graphics processor (Adreno 610).
The Moto E7 Plus is expected to launch with a large display featuring a waterdrop notch, a dual-camera setup on the rear as well as a fingerprint sensor, and a USB-C port. The phone will come with Android 10 out of the box with Motorola’s own My UX interface which was released recently. It was also discovered from the phone’s listing on Geekbench that the phone will come with 4GB of RAM but it is expected to have other memory configurations as well.
