The Xenia emulator already allows to run XBOX360 games on PC

Since relatively recently the generation of games PlayStation 3 and XBOX360 can be emulated on PC. We already had news of PlayStation 3 and its RPCS3 emulator, and now it is the turn of its counterpart, the Xenia for XBOX360 games.

Blue Dragon, Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker, Halo 3, Halo 3 ODST and many are already emulated by Xenia

The Xenia emulator seems to have made incredible progress lately. Different XBOX360 video games such as Blue Dragon, Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker, Halo 3, Halo 3 ODST and more can already be executed on PC through this emulator.

For the demonstration, a computer with an Intel Xeon e3-1240 V2 @ 3.6 GHz was used with 8GB of DDR3-1866MHz memory and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics card. Obviously, a Xeon CPU is not powerful enough to run this emulator, so do not be discouraged by the framerates you’re about to see in these videos.

It seems that Halo 3 and Halo 3 ODST can be played, but they are not perfectly emulated yet. In fact, with the exception of Condemned, Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker and Blue Dragon, almost all other games suffer from important graphics failures, but we must bear in mind that until months ago, the emulation of these games was impossible.

It is really amazing that this XBOX360 emulator can even start/run these famous games that never reached PC. Not only that, but users with a high-end CPU can run these games at 30 fps (I know, it’s not ideal, but you can consider that they run at full speed since they were blocked at 30 fps on Xbox 360 ).

As always, in the next few months, the emulation should be improved and polished, to make them fully functional.
