In the month of August, Ulefone announced that it would bring a new smartphone to life through the use of Indiegogo, a online crowdfunding platform. This device would be a rugged smartphone which can also operate as a walkie-talkie.
At the moment, the product is listed on Indiegogo, which means that people are already ordering the Ulefone Armor 3T. This product is IP68-certified for water and dust resistance. It is also dust proof and resistant to drops, which signifies that it may not be harmed in any way if it falls in the users’ hands.
Design and Display of Ulefone Armor 3T
Being rugged is not a minus for this device. Part of the reasons for that is the metal make-up of the Ulefone Armor 3T. Its antenna for walkie-talkie can be removed in a way to make the phone look less tall, seeing the antenna is somewhat large.
Accordingly, the device is high temperature resistant, and MIL-STD-810G compliant. The waterproof resistance is up to over 1.2 meters for 30 minutes.
Taking a look at the body dimensions, they are 164 x 79.2 x 18.15 mm, while the screen size is 5.7-inch IPS LCD display type. The screen resolution is 1080 x 2160 pixels of FHD+ quality. It weighs 364 grams and comes in colors of black and orange.
It has the aspect ratio of 18:9, and 424 ppi density. Protection found on the Ulefone Armor 3T is Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It is multi-touch capacitive touch screen with 16 million colors.
Camera Features
A 21 MP camera sits on the rear of the Ulefone Armor 3T. This comes with f/1.8 aperture and the sansor type is Sony IMX230. Video flash capacity is 1080p@30fps. Other features include PDAF auto focus, touch focus, face detection, portrait mode, quick launch, HDR, etc.
The front (Selfie) camera is a 13 MP shooter with f/2.2 aperture support. The flash video has 720p@30fps with fixed focus mode. Other features include face detection, beauty mode, palm selfie, wide selfie, and auto HDR.
Hardware and Software Performance
The Ulefone Armor 3T runs on Android 8.1 Oreo. No doubt, this will easily update to the latest Android. The device is also fueled by Helio P23 64-bit architecture. There will be support for MediaTek MT6763T Octa core 4 x 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 and another 4 x 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 processor as well. The frequency is 2.0 GHz, while GPU is Mali-G71 MP2.
Ulefone Armor 3T Storage
The device supports 4GB of RAM and also 64GB of internal storage, therefore there is no indication that it has a microSD to boost the storage in any manner. But there’s provision to use SIM 2 SIM slot to boost the external storage to 256GB.

Price and Availability
The global price for Amor 3T is $299. In Europe it is €255 or £225. In China the price is CNY 1,999, while in India the price is Rs 21,900.
Ulefone Armor 3T will not be available for sales until sometime in October 2018. It was announced in August as a new smartphone that would be listed on Indiegogo. You can pre-order it on that platform right now. But you may not get it till it is formally released to the market in October 2018.
