Umidigi One has been launched by the company and it’s now officially available on shopping stores. The new smartphone comes with the trending iPhone X-like notch which we saw on the company’s flagship the Z2 and Z2 Pro.
Apart from having a notch, the Umidigi One runs on Android 8.1 Oreo, there’s 4GB of RAM and 32GB storage space making it a budget device. It sports the trending dual rear shooters as well, there’s dual 4G VoLTE support and a fingerprint scanner. Want to know more? Stay with me.
Design
From afar, the Umidigi One looks like it was made from Aluminium, but it’s actually Metallic. The body reflects light beautifully and definitely one of the most good looking budget smartphones. At the top left corner, we can see the dual shooters in a vertical position with the LED flash underneath.
Turning over to the sides, it measures just 8.3mm in thickness. The power button doubles as the fingerprint scanner. This means that “1” inscription at the rear, isn’t where the fingerprint scanner is. The device weighs 180g and available in Twilight and Carbon Fiber colors.
Display
To the highlight of the device, the notched screen is absolutely stunning. It looks quite identical to the iPhone X, although the bottom bezel came out to play a little bit but it is super minimal. However, the screen is pretty impressive for a budget smartphone, but before we arrive at a conclusion, let’s look at the details.
The 5.9-inch HD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen dishes out a 19:9 aspect ratio. The screen has a resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels and 287 pixel per inch density, offering standard visuals overall. The screen stretches up to 90% screen to body ratio.
Hardware and Software
It houses the MediaTek Helio P23 MT6763T chip with Octa-Core processor and 64-bit CPU architecture. The 8-Cores of processor here clocks at a fast speed of 2.0GHz with 16nm process technology. The ARM Mali-G71 MP2 graphics processor handles graphics and clocks at 700MHz.
With 4GB RAM space available, you can multitask through lots of light apps effortlessly. The RAM space has a memory speed of 1533MHz. For storing files, 32GB is available and you can always upgrade up to 256GB using a memory card. The Umidigi One runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with Stock Android.
Camera
The dual 12MP + 5MP rear camera captures stunning photographs with f/2.0 aperture. The cameras come with features like Autofocus, HDR, ISO settings, Panorama, Scene mode, portrait mode, dual-LED flash and lots more. The 16MP selfie camera on the notch takes care of selfies and supports Face ID.
Battery
Powering the Umidigi One is a 3550mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 2 hours.
