Vertex Impress Nero launched with Bezel-less Display and 3300mAh Battery – Review, Full Specs and Price

Russian company Vertex released the Vertex Impress Nero early last week. The affordable device focuses on those on a budget and comes with 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and 3000mAh battery. The device was launched alongside the Impress Tiger and Impress Eagle. But the Impress Nero beats the others hands down in terms of specs and overall usage. Without further ado, Meet the Vertex Impress Nero.

Design

Vertex Impress Nero

The bottom part of the device from the back looks boring, the Vertex logo is also one of the most boring logo i’ve seen in a while. The top part looks fun, even though there’s no fingerprint scanner in sight. There’s actually a space for the fingerprint scanner underneath the rear camera, But that never happened.

Vertex Impress Nero

Maybe the company forgot to include the feature, because they obviously made a space for it. The dual-LED flash is now on top of the rear camera in a unique twist, which is really catchy. It measures 9.2mm in thickness, the volume keys and power button is by the left while the sim slot is by the right. The beautiful device was made from both Plastic and Metal, and available in only Gray colors.

Display

This is the first smartphone from Vertex that’s coming with the trendy feature. It sports a full vision display with no navigation buttons. I think Vertex is now ready to give other OEMs a run for their money. At the top bezel, the selfie camera, ambient light sensor and speaker grille are present.

It sports a 5.5-inch HD+ IPS LCD Full Vision Capacitive touchscreen that is breathtaking. The screen boasts of 293 pixel per inch density, while stretching up to 73.52% screen to body ratio. Even when in landscape mode, the multi-touch screen should be brilliant and sharp.

Hardware and Software

It houses the MediaTek MT6737M chip with Quad-core processor, which reaches a clock speed of 1.3 GHz. It boasts of a 64-bit CPU architecture, 28nm process technology and ARM Mali-T720 MP2 graphics processor. The graphics processing unit comes with just a single core and reaches a maximum speed of 550MHz.

Multitask through your usual apps with 2GB RAM space that gets to a memory speed of 640MHz. For storage, 16GB storage space is available to accommodate all your precious files. The space is upgradeable up to 128GB by using a memory card in the SIM 2 slot. The Impress Nero runs smoothly on Android 7.0 Nougat with modified user interface.

Camera

I wouldn’t underestimate the 13MP rear camera if i were you, it captures 4K resolution images. It comes with a dual-LED flash and other quality features which allows you take photos with 4160 x 3120 pixels in dimension. Record videos of 1080pixels at 30 frames per second with clarity and quality. Taken cute selfies with the 5MP selfie camera with no front flash in sight.

Battery

Powering the Vertex Impress Nero is a 3300mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with no fast charging technology support. It shouldn’t take more than 2.5 hours to fully charge up the battery.
