The Xgody X24 has finally popped up on shopping stores and is retailing for just a token. The device is an entry-level smartphone from Xgody targeting those on a budget.
It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition out of the box, so it isn’t surprising it has 1GB of RAM and 8GB storage space as well. Lets meet the Xgody X24.
Design
Xgody sure knows how to make these budget-friendly beauties, the X24 looks really attractive for its price. It sports dual curved antenna lines at the top and another curved dual antenna at the bottom.
It has a removable Plastic cover, which can be removed to insert SIMs, while at the top left corner, we can see a rear camera and a LED flash beside it. It measures 9mm in thickness and available in Gold, Blue, Black and Red colors.
Display
The company didn’t bother about bringing the current trend to the screen. It has the same 16:9 screen on older smartphones. Three navigation buttons sit pretty at the bottom bezel, while the top houses the selfie camera and others.
It has a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen for visuals, this has 540 x 960 pixels in resolution and 220 pixel per inch density. Nonetheless, it stretches up to 65.5% screen-to-body.
Hardware and Software
Under the hood, the MediaTek MT6739 chip does the number crunching, even though it was built on an older 28nm process technology. It comes with 4-cores of processor clocking at 1.3GHz. While the PowerVR GE8100 graphics processor clocks at 570MHz.
It has just 1GB of RAM space available, but this shouldn’t be a problem since it runs on Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition. It reaches a RAM frequency of 667MHz as well. It has 8GB storage space and you can upgrade up to 32GB using a memory card.
Camera
It’s equipped with an 8MP rear camera which shoots HD videos of 720p@30fps. For taking selfies, there’s a 2MP front facing camera ready to capture your face.
Battery
Powering the Xgody X24 is a 2500mAh removable Li-Ion battery with no fast charging technology. Without the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% might take up to 2.2 hours.
