Xiaomi Mi A1 have started receiving Android 9.0 Pie

If there is one thing that is pretty much certain, it will be the fact that Android One devices (Which Xiaomi Mi A2 is part of) get a guaranteed 2 years worth of timely updates and security patches. Xiaomi Mi A2 ships with Android 7.1.2 nougat out of the box and have since received the Android 8.1 Oreo update. Now, Android 9.0 Pie has finally arrived, which, as we all know, will most likely be the last major update for this device.

The update which weighs a little over 1GB and brings along Android 9.0 Pie features such as new navigation gestures, adaptive battery and other features. This update also brings support for an FM radio which was not on the device before now. If you haven’t gotten the update notification yet on your unit of the Xiaomi Mi A2 then you can try checking for it manually by going to the settings >> System >> About Phone/Check for updates. If you still don’t get the notification After checking for it manually then the update probably has reached your device yet.
