Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 may have a screen never seen before!

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 got a lot of attention last year with its slider camera. However, it is very likely that your successor will not bring this functionality.

This does not mean that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 comes totally devoid of news. On the contrary, it might bring something we have not seen on a smartphone so far.

As we know, the “fashion” of 2019 is to continue the search for the smartphone without frames. The current method seems to be drilling, the hole or “punch hole”.

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 may come with a double perforated screen

It is likely that Xiaomi is working on a patent for this same type of screen. In fact, the Chinese company registered a patent in Beijing quite curious. This patent consisted of about 24 dual-perforated screen designs.

First, manufacturers are implementing the “punch hole” in order to put there the front camera, or cameras. However, in the case of Xiaomi, it seems that the aim is to have a lens on each side with separate perforations.

Secondly, we can also consider the hypothesis that one hole is for the camera sensors and the other for the notification LED, for example. Or even another type of sensor. However, what makes us think that this could be the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4? After all, the patent does not confirm any model.

First of all, the Mi Mix line always had huge screens compared to the smartphone body. Additionally, we have already seen that the Mi Mix can be bold and completely different from the other competitors. We were able to see this with the Mi Mix 3 slider camera.

Finally, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 has two front chambers. If Xiaomi wants to keep the tradition, the patent images strike right with everything.

In short, Xiaomi may surprise us again this year with an out-of-normal smartphone. Although we do not know more, we know that the Chinese manufacturer will have an event on February 24th. Let’s wait for the news.
