Xiaomi Redmi 9A Design

Xiaomi Redmi 9a 1

To start with, we cannot argue that the Redmi 9A is very much different from the Redmi 8A. Notably, the matte texture on the plastic rear looks familiar to what fans have seen earlier, and there seems to be no upgrade on it, just a little different. The color is radiant, distracting you from the entry-level instigated at the first instance. However, in truth, the smartphone appears as an entry-level smartphone.

Display

Xiaomi Redmi 9A this time is equipped with IPS LCD touchscreen technology. It is 6.3 inches wide at the display. Good thing is; it arrived with a waterdrop notch. 720 x 1520 pixels resolution is found at the display, so it is an entry-level smartphone. Of course, no one will think much of the 267 PPI.

Processor

Chipset found in the Xiaomi Redmi 9A is not special but it does the work. The MediaTek Helio G25, 64-bit processor, is commendable. However, the CPU is Octa-core 2 GHz Dual Core, Cortex A75 and another 1.7 GHz, Hexa Core, Cortex A55. Furthermore, the GPU which is for good graphics, is ARM Mali-G52. This phone handles low graphic games easily. Don’t bother, for the device has not much in the world to carry.

Storage

The Redmi 9A has low storage and it makes me think that it deserves to be regarded as something not better than an entry-level phone. Storage is very simple and this is also not one memorable area for the phone. There are no variants when you look at the storage.  Even so, the RAM is 3 GB, while the internal storage is 34 GB. Meanwhile, the phone has 256 GB of internal storage.

Battery

redmi 9a

Powering the Xiaomi Redmi 9A 5000 mAh battery that is backed by fast charging features. Now, this is not an entry-level type of battery and why the manufacturer did it this way is not clear. There is so much power here to be discharged by the user.

Speaker and Call Quality

Call quality in this smartphone is okay. You can listen to your favorite video songs and watch movies in the video player. Making calls, listening to FM radio, game sounds are all good enough. There is the 3.5mm jack which enables the user to connect with larger electronic devices.

Software Features & Sensors

Redmi 9A is triumphant with Android v10.0, which arrived with the Q user interface. This ensures a super-fast performance. Furthermore, the sensors are fingerprint, accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, light and compass.

Camera, Video, and Image Quality

Camera composition is as follows at the rear 13 MP and 2 MP at the rear and 8 MP at the front. Autofocus, flash, video recording of 1080p @ 30fps, FHD, and other solid features are found in the smartphone.

Xiaomi Redmi 9A Price

The official price of the Xiaomi Redmi 9A is about $98. You may scour the internet for the best price when you want to buy it. That will cost you about N35,000 in Nigeria.

Verdict

Oh yes, the Xiaomi Redmi 9A is a little laid back. But it is not a bad phone. Some teenagers found it very handy. If you’re not very familiar with smartphones, this phone is a learning curve. At best, the device is simplistic. Yet, the battery, which seems to be the most powerful aspect, serves the user for up to three days of use. Of course, you could charge the battery fast if it runs down. Remember, Redmi 9A is not the gamers’ choice, so if high-tech games are your thing, get a higher spec of the smartphone.
