⌚The Xiaomi Huami Amazfit Smartwatch Review
Xiaomi as we know already, is a Chinese smartphone and gadgets manufacturing company. And with every single device or gadget that the company releases, the level of their versatility, creativity and innovation just keeps snowballing.
Xiaomi have a wide array of smartphones to their name. The premium, mid-range, featured devices, the metal framed, plastic coated and many more. Xiaomi as well has an “ultra smart shoe” carrying the company’s imprint. Now the company has ventured into the production of vacuum cleaners and smartwatches. This article therefore will have its focus on reviewing the Xiaomi Huami Amazfit Smartwatch.

DESIGN
The Xiaomi Huami Amazfit smartwatch has a simple and minimalistic round/circular design with curved edges. The straps/bands of the Amazfit smartwatch is of rubber made and is of course detachable.
Xiaomi made the strap detachable because there are various available colours and you can change them to match any outfit you have on for any particular day or outing. The Xiaomi Huami Amazfit smartwatch is originally available in the red and black colour; but you can purchase additional colours of preference.
DISPLAY
For visual display, the 1.3-inch touchscreen is in charge on the Amazfit smartwatch. The screen has an impressive resolution of 300×300 pixels. Everything you need to do on/with the Amazfit smartwatch will be done on the screen. Be it to make a phone call, check your heart rate etc., you need to consult the screen.
However, to light up the screen, a tiny and bulge-less button is located at the back of the Amazfit smartwatch. You need to unlock and power on the screen every time you intend to operate the smartwatch.
PROCESSOR & STORAGE
The Dual-core processor with 1.2GHz speed will certainly provide a smooth user experience on the Amazfit. In addition, the 512MB RAM is also enough to provide fluidity in the usage of pre-installed applications. On the Amazfit, you are provided with 4GB of internal storage to store whatever multimedia files you want to.
The downside of the Xiaomi Huami Amazfit smartwatch is that applications cannot be downloaded from Google Playstore. However, the pre-installed “Mi Fit” application allows users integrate with any Android smartphone. IOS users will have to await an update that supports IOS based smartphones before they can integrate the Amazfit smartwatch with their devices.
BATTERY
A 200mAh battery powers the Xiaomi Huami Amazfit smartwatch. This battery capacity should be enough to keep the Amazfit smartwatch alive for up to 11 days on pure watch mode.
OTHER FEATURES
GPS/MOTION TRACKING
The GPS and GLONASS motion tracking feature of the Amazfit smartwatch allows the watch identify locations, cadence, and even distance walked or travelled.
HEART RATE MONITOR
The Heart rate monitor on the Xiaomi Huami Amazfit smartwatch makes it a must have. The Heart rate sensor is neatly placed underneath the Amazfit watch and it monitors the frequency of heartbeats just like the Apple Watch.
