Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro receives the MIUI 10 in the Stable Global version

After the recent rumors suggesting the end of the facial support for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro as well as other terminals, we now have good news. In a contradictory way, the brand itself confirms the arrival of the MIIUI 10 interface to the Android smartphone in question.

Firstly, the initial report included not only the device in question but the Xiaomi Mi 5, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, and Xiaomi Mi 4. In short, several devices with two or more years of age.

However, as mentioned above, the Chinese manufacturer would confirm the arrival of the MIUI 10 in its stable global version to several terminals. Among them, we have the old top of the range Mi 5 as well as the Redmi Note 3 equipped with Snapdragon 650 processor from Qualcomm.

MIUI 10 based on Android Marshmallow for this smartphone from Xiaomi

As a result, both smartphones will receive the stable and global version of MIUI 10, precluding any beta version (trial version). However, this will be the last major system update that will officially arrive at any of them. In short, MIUI 10 will be the last stop for both Android smartphones. In a nutshell, while Mi5 users have already received the MIUI 10 based on Android Oreo for a few months, Redmi Note 3 Pro users have been left waiting. A wait that stretches so far…

This is the MIUI 10 in its stable and global version, unfortunately, based on Android Marshmallow.

However, we can finally bring the good news to the users of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro with the arrival of the MIUI 10. Still, it must be said that the terminal in question will arrive the interface MIUI 10 based on Android Marshmallow. In short, far from being a current version of this operating system.

That’s good news for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro

Even so, this practice is already recurring within Xiaomi. Especially as far as mid-range smartphones are concerned. This niche turns out to be relegated to last, getting updates is right, but not always with the latest version of the operating system.

Already on the device in question, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro, was launched in March 2016. Being mid-low-range smartphones, at the time its specifications far exceeded its price range.

To these comes now the MIUI 10 in its stable and global version (V10.1.1.0.MHOMIFI). Being intended for the variant with the processor Snapdragon and with a weight of 1.1GB. If you want, you can download it here.

All in all, it’s still a welcome update but it’s a shame that it’s based on Android Marshmallow. This means that you will not have access to many of the new features introduced by Android Nougat and other versions like the Oreo or even the Pie.
