We have seen some leaks in TENAA regarding the future smartphone of the Redmi series, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5. Now, a new image of this phone appeared online on JD.com, which reveals that it will have a full screen, just as it was rumoured previously. Since this new Xiaomi product has been included in this online retail store, it is believed that the launch of the smartphone should be fully confirmed. Keep in mind that the list suggests 8888 yuan as the price with which this phone will come, but that has not been confirmed yet, although it is not out of possibility.
A couple of weeks ago, two smartphones, these being the Redmi MET7 and the Redmi MEE7, made an appearance through the TENAA page, which is said to be the variants of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5. Both devices differ only regarding memory and storage capacity.
Technical specifications of the future Xiaomi Redmi Note 5
According to the specs prowling the Internet, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will feature an IPS LCD Full HD of 5.9 inches with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 display pixels and an aspect ratio of 18 – 9, and comes with a full-screen design with very thin bevels around it. Previously, it was speculated that the phone would have a full HD screen of 5.7 inches.
Below this screen, we can see that this phone is powered by an eight-core processor that runs at a speed of 2.0GHz, but the chipset version is not yet known. The device is expected to have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor.
Concerning the two variants with which it is supposed to have this device, one would have 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, while the other would have 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage. These would also have a slot for microSD cards, which will allow users to expand the storage capacity to their liking.
While it seems that the company has focused on the camera department, it does not seem to be the focal point for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5. It is expected that this device comes with a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. It will have Dual SIM connectivity along with the dual standby function. It will also have the usual set of options with regard to connectivity, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
Regarding software, the phone will run on Android 7.1.1 based on the new MIUI 9, plus it will be powered by a 4000mAh battery. According to the previous flight that came from TENAA, this smartphone will be available in a variety of colours, such as – black, rose gold, white, blue, gold, pink, red, grey and silver.
With what price will this phone count?
While the details of the prices of this device on the JD.com page remain unconfirmed, previous leaks related to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 suggest that the smartphone could be priced at around 1,599 yuan (about $ 241.03 ). We will still have to wait a bit to get more information regarding this.
