In this short video, you can watch what it looks like and listen to the specifications. According to the person recording it, the phone has a metal casing, in this particular unit, it is a pink color variant. The device is equipped with a Snapdragon 625 with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage. The rear camera is a combination of 12 and 5-megapixel, while the front one has 16-megapixels. The phone has a large  5.99-inch IPS screen with rounded corners and HD + resolution. A 3080 mAh battery will juice the device. Ther is also a fingerprint reader on the back. The UI is naturally MIUI 9 based on Android Oreo OS.

Surprisingly, its price is close to the amount you would have to pay for Redmi 4X. Let’s hope that it will also be well priced for us.

It promises that the official presentation will take place in just a week. On their blogs, Xiaomi and Suning published a teaser of the new model. Suning.com is a Chinese company dealing in electronics and retail trade. Perhaps Xiaomi has partnered with them. In the graphic above, the paraglider flies over the city of Nanjing, where the company’s headquarters are located. The inscription suggests that there will be some surprise – what will happen, it is not known, but the big “S” clearly indicates Redmi S2.

What do you think about Xiaomi Redmi S2? Why do you think the producer gave it such name?
