Xiaomi has started distributing the latest version of MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM to suitable devices. The latest development comes just after the launch of the first stable version of MIUI 10 in China. After almost three months since its launch in beta, MIUI 10 has arrived in a stable version on the Mi 6.
Globally, Xiaomi has begun the distribution of MIUI 10 Global Beta 8.8.30 to 25 smartphones. As many will remember, the company has recently suspended the launch of the latest version due to some rather annoying bugs, promptly reported. Fortunately, the latest global release of the beta-ROM includes some bug fixes and system optimizations.
Xiaomi announced this launch via a post on the MIUI forum. The new ROM brings version 8.8.30 and comes with some new developments. Although the update is not among the most important, it still manages to solve a significant problem. Previously, some instant messaging apps like Whats App and Telegram showed double notifications for each message. Xiaomi recognized the problem and corrected the bug in the last update.
In terms of security, Xiaomi claims to have solved a problem with the MIUI Security app. Some Redmi 5 Plus users pointed out that the text in the scan tool did not display as “fully displayed”. The company has also solved a problem with the Cleaner app. In addition, Mi MIX 2S users will no longer see shadows around the numbers once they have been updated to the latest version of MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM. Xiaomi provided the complete changelog in the forum post.
