Android Oreo 8.1 for the Xiaomi Mi A1 brings security fixes in June 2018, performance improvements, fixes some bugs and according to users it also reduces the use of internal storage and has a better battery life. However, this update is discontinued after the bug deleting the SMS history was found. This bug only applies if the user removes the SMS app from recent apps.
