You can now use Fantastical 2 with the Shortcuts of Siri

The popular calendar application Fantastical 2, available in versions for both iPhone and iPad and Apple Watch, has recently received a new update that raises it to version 2.10. With it, users receive full support to use the new Siri Shortcuts, but also the possibility of using the app in the complications of the new watch faces that have come with watchOS 5 and the new Apple Watch Series 4.

Fantastical 2 is placed under the orders of Siri

Fantastical 2  already offers support for Siri Shortcuts, thanks to which users can add new events to their calendar, view upcoming events and reminders, and much more, faster and easier. Some examples of quick access to Fantastical 2 are:

  • Set a phrase like “Hey Fantastical” to automatically open the application and start immediately with the creation of a new event or reminder.
  • Show upcoming events or reminders through a shortcut in the app Shortcuts or device widgets
  • Jump to a specific reminder list by creating a button on the home screen with the Shortcuts application

After updating your app to the new version, you can see all available shortcuts by opening the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad, selecting the “Siri and search” option, and pressing the “Fantastical 2” option.

Also, as I was saying at the beginning, Fantastical 2 becomes compatible with Siri’s sphere. In this way, the Apple Watch may suggest upcoming events and reminders that you have established in the application.

You can also use Fantastical 2 to introduce it as a complication in certain areas of the Apple Watch, in order to have on the screen the information you need about your upcoming events and reminders.

Version 2.10 of Fantastical 2 requires iOS 11 or higher for iPhone or iPad, as well as watchOS 4 or later on the Apple Watch.
