ZTE have introduced (or should I say re-introduced) a new addition to their Nubia line of smartphones. Apparently, the “Nubia Z17” family is taking in a new member despite the presence of other members like the ZTE Nubia Z17, ZTE Nubia Z17 Lite and ZTE Nubia Z17 Mini.

The ZTE Nubia Z17S is an improved and upgraded version of the ZTE Nubia Z17 and it comes with features under the headers below.
DESIGN AND DISPLAY
Design-wise, the ZTE Nubia Z17S isn’t any much different from the other Nubia Z17 devices. The device comes with dual camera, a rear fingerprint scanner and the same body build and material. However, one noticeable difference is the addition of an extra camera on the front to make the ZTE Nubia Z17S a Quad-camera device.
Also, the ZTE Nubia Z17S comes with a bigger edge-to-edge Full HD+ screen size of 5.73 inch display size with better 1080×2040 pixels. The device also comes with the Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
PROCESSOR, OS AND STORAGE
Just like the Nubia Z17, the Z17S also comes with the same chipset, operating system and storage properties; Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, Android v7.1 OS, 6GB or 8GB of RAM, 128 GB and no micro SD card space/slot for expansion.
However, the ZTE Nubia Z17S comes with a slightly faster processor; an Octa-core Cortex-A53 processor which runs at a clock speed of 2.45 GHz.
CAMERA AND BATTERY
The ZTE Nubia Z17S comes with dual primary/main camera like its predecessor, the Z17 but with improved megapixels. The Nubia Z17S comes with a 23 MP and 12 MP lens combination on the rear and with dual dual-tone LED flash.
Up front, there is also a dual camera set-up which takes the total cameras on the ZTE Nubia Z17S to four (4). The dual frontal cameras are made of 5 megapixels sensor each. Users are about to get a whole new and exciting selfie experience with the Nubia Z17S.
As regards battery capacity, the battery juice of the ZTE Nubia Z17S was cut down, and I still don’t understand why; given that this device is an upgrade to previously released versions. The device comes with a non-removable 3,100 mAh battery and a 26W fast charge feature which ZTE says can give 50% of battery charge in 25 minutes.
PRICING AND AVAILABILITY
The sale of the ZTE Nubia Z17S will commence on October 19, 2017 and the 6 GB RAM version will cost $455 while the 8GB RAM version will sell for $607.

Truly, the ZTE Nubia Z17S is a really nice smartphone. As regards price, the Nubia Z17S with 6GB RAM costs $455 (about N164,000) while the 8GB version cost $607 (about N220,000).
