The 4Good Light B100 is now official as an entry-level smartphone from the entry-level OEM. To test the waters, the device is very affordable and accessible to almost anyone.
Perfect for those on a budget, the 4Good Light B100 packs little specs and focuses on low-class individuals. Without further ado, lets see what the 4Good Light B100 have in store for us today.
Design
Made from plastic just like most budget smartphones, with metal-like curved edges. The rear camera seems to be the highlight at the rear, since there’s no fingerprint scanner. Furthermore, the LED flash sits underneath the rear shooter.
The 4Good logo sits at the middle, taking the place of the rear fingerprint scanner. There’s another 4Good inscription at the bottom corner, just right above the loudspeaker. Turning over to the metal-like sides, it measures 8.8mm in thickness and just 121g. Making it very easy to operate, even with one hand. You can only get the Light B100 in Black.
Display
Nowhere near bezel-less here, sporting three navigation buttons at the bottom bezel. While the top houses the selfie camera, speaker grille and other sensors. Even the narrow bezel isn’t left out as it came out to play as well.
The screen dishes out a 16:9 aspect ratio and stretches up to 62.4% screen to body ratio. It might be a huge disappointing to some and not so much for those on a budget. The 4.5-inch QHD IPS capacitive touchscreen displays like a budget smartphone it is. With just 960 x 540 pixels in resolution and 245 pixel per inch density for the usual visuals.
Hardware and Software
Under the hood is the MediaTek MT6737M chip, a 64-bit CPU architecture alongside 4-cores of processor. The Quad-core processor runs at a speed of 1.1GHz with a 28nm process technology for normal performance. In charge of graphics is the ARM Mali-T720 MP1 graphics processor that runs at 550MHz.
For multitasking through apps, just 1GB of RAM is available here and it reaches a memory speed of 640MHz. Store everything you want to store on the 8GB Storage space available, which you can upgrade up to 32GB as well. The 4Good Light B100 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with modified user interface.
Camera
For photography, there’s just a 2MP rear camera which captures just 1K resolution images. Even though the camera comes with a LED flash, it’s still very disappointing. With the Light B100, you can only take pictures of 1633 x 1225 pixels in dimension. Record videos of 480 pixels at 30 frames per second and take cute selfies with the 0.3MP selfie camera.
Battery
Powering the 4Good Light B100 is a 1600mAh removable Li-Ion battery with fast no charging technology. Even without the fast charging feature, it shouldn’t take more than 1.4 hours to fully charge up the battery from 0% to 100%.
