Design
A classic beauty, the Vivo V9 looks like it was made on a Sunday. Absolutely stunning, the body was made exquisitely from Aluminum Alloy. Reflecting light beautifully and perfect to hold when you are out and about. The iPhone X-like dual shooters brings a modern twist to the rear.
The LED flash sits underneath the dual shooters, while the fingerprint scanner is at its usual position. The Vivo inscription ia at the middle as they marked their territory. It measures 7.89mm in thickness and weighs 150g overall, making it easy to hold. The V9 is available in only Gold and Black colors.
Display
We saw a lot of the top-notch design at the 2018 Mobile World Congress and obviously Vivo didn’t want to be left out. Unlike others, the top-notch on the V9 is very minimal, housing just the selfie camera, ambient light sensor and speaker grille.
Even though there’s no narrow bezels in sight, the bottom bezel still came out to play a little bit. The large 6.3-inch FHD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen ideal for movies and games. The screen boasts of 2280 x 1080 pixels in resolution and 400 pixel per inch density dishing out sharp visuals. The screen stretches up to 85.50% screen to body ratio, while a 2.5D curved glass protects it all.
Hardware and Software
Running the race here is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 chip, a 64-bit CPU architecture and 8-cores of processor. The Octa-core processor reaches a clock speed of 2.2GHz and a 14nm process technology for fast performance. Administrating graphics is the Qualcomm Adreno 506 graphics processor.
For multitasking, 4GB of RAM space is available to process all apps with 933MHz memory speed. In terms of storage space, 64GB is available to store all files while you can upgrade further up to 128GB with a memory card. The Vivo V9 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with Funtouch OS 4.0 user interface.
Camera
The dual 16MP + 5MP rear camera is one of the highlights of the device, the cameras has f/2.0 aperture. The cameras come with a LED flash and other features, to take photographs with 4608 x 3456 pixels in dimension. Record videos of 2160 pixels at 30 frames per second and 720 pixels at 120 frames per second. The 24MP selfie camera has f/2.0 aperture and Face ID technology.
Battery
Powering the Vivo V9 is a 3260mAh Non-removable Li-Po battery with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, it shouldn’t take more than 2 hours to fully charge up the battery from 0% to 100%.

Vivo V9 sure looks great! With 6.3″ display, that’s a really bold device. The battery is a little over 3000. That’s also quite acceptable. Though, bigger phablets as this requires bigger battery. All-in-all, this device is wonderful.
So Vivo has join the notch trend spreading like virus with spacs in the chin, poor design.
