It looked like OnePlus did not allow Google Treble support to get the fastest updates for the devices involved in this project. But finally, it is completely different. With its OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T models, the company will join the growing list of devices that this project contains.
Approximately 20 devices currently support Treble
Treble support will run in the latest beta version of OxygenOS. It was released simultaneously for both models. In addition to these two smartphones, approximately 20 other devices have been added to Google Treble, such as Huawei P10 or LG V30. OnePlus’s original statement was that Treble would not be available. It is because of the missing partition in the internal repository.
With Treble, smartphones such as the Sony Xperia XZ2 and Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S have access to the beta version of Android P, a good sign for OnePlus models. The latest flagship of the Chinese company, OnePlus 6, already supports the Treble project.
