Asus Zenfone V Specs Review, Price and where to buy

ASUS is a renowned manufacturer of electronics; desktop computers, personal computers, laptops and phones. The Taiwan-based company produces smartphones under the “Zenfone” name codename and the latest entrant into the Zenfone family is the Asus Zenfone V. Let’s take a look at the major highlight specs, price and where to buy.

DESIGN & DISPLAY

Asus Zenfone V

The body build and design of the Asus Zenfone V looks pretty much basic. No really is special or exciting about the design. The device is however slim and when held, it feels much like your hands are empty, owing to the small thickness (7.4 mm) and light weight (147.1 grams).

The back/ rear of the device is a little glossy and has a beautiful glow. The main camera and LED flash are also on the rear. At the opposite side (the front), the big screen, fingerprint sensor, secondary camera and proximity sensor are located. Presently, there is only one colour option of the device available – Sapphire Black.

The Zenfone V comes with a 5.2 inch AMOLED display with a 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution and a 424 ppi pixel density. Interestingly, the device comes with a multi-touch ability of up to 10 fingers! Accompanying the display is a Corning Gorilla Glass protection of unspecified version.

PROCESSOR, OS & STORAGE

The Zenfone V comes out of the box with a Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 chipset and runs on a 2.15 GHz Quad-core processor and an Adreno 530 Graphic Processing Unit (GPU). There is a huge 4 GB RAM for efficient multitasking and the Android v7.0 Nougat operating system which also comes with an built-in split screen feature also takes multitasking to another enjoyable level.

The internal memory space is composed of 32 GB of storage and this can be expanded to 256 GB using the second SIM card slot.

CAMERA AND BATTERY

The main camera at the rear is a 23 megapixels camera. To the right of the camera are two dual tone LED flash for lightening the subject to be captured. The secondary camera up front is an 8 MP shooter with no LED flash.

The Asus Zenfone V comes with a non-removable 3,000 mAh Li – ion battery to keep it up and running. The device also comes with the Quick charge 2.0 which gives 67% of battery power in 30 minutes.
