Blackview BV4000 Pro Is A Bit Upgraded Than The Blackview BV4000

Recently, we were able to bring to your screens the rugged smartphone called Blackview BV4000. As rugged and waterproof as this smartphone is, Blackview even launched another better version termed the Blackview BV4000 Pro. In all respect, the this smartphone and its pacesetter are both alike except in the memory segment. Well, an increased memory compartment is a good way to announce a smartphone as a Pro version. Keep it locked as the smartphone gets a solo review.

The design is as we’ve termed before – rugged! Its feel in hand, its octagonal frame and its IP68 certification all accentuate this fact. The metallic and rubber body material coupled with the 205 g weight makes the smartphone a rock solid device. The colour options with which the smartphone makes its appearance are Orange, Black and Green. It has a thickness of 13.3 mm, width of 74.2 mm and length of 143.9 mm.

The smartphone has a small 4.7 inches display size with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The sharpness and crispness of the screen display is further expressed with the 312 ppi pixel density. As was seen in Blackview BV4000, this Pro version has the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 as its shield against shattering and breakage. There is the multi-touch input and 16 million display colours on the smartphone’s display.

Its chipset is the MediaTek MT6580A SoC, and its processor is the ARM Cortex-A7 CPU with four coes. The CPU clocks at a low speed of 1.3GHz and utilizes the 28nm process technology. The GPU on the smartphone is the ARM Mali-400 MP2 with two cores. The software running on the smartphone is the Android v7.0 Nougat OS. In this segment, the RAM and internal storage are twice that of the BV4000. The RAM that eases multi-tasking efficiency is 2GB while the ROM has a 16GB capacity for storing up files. The internal storage can also be extended to 32GB with the adoption of a micro SD card.

Just as it can be seen in the BV4000, BV4000 Pro has a dual camera setup, each consisting of 8MP sensors with f/2.0 aperture. There is a LED flash for brightening images in dark conditions. The front camera has a low 2MP quality for taking selfies. No LED flash accompanied the front camera. The f/2.8 aperture also comes along with the front camera. Only 2G and 3G network types are present on the smartphone. Other connectivity options on the smartphone are – micro USB v2.0, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS and WLAN connectivity.

BV4000 Pro has a non-removable Lithium Polymer 3,680 mAh battery. The smartphone lacks a fast charging technology.
