After a brief introduction, Galaxy S9 chip will win launch event in January

After briefly introducing Exynos 9810, the new top-of-the-line chip (which already had mass-production started ), Samsung is scheduling a major event to reveal all the details of the new processor.

Through a teaser published on its official profile @SamsungExynos on Twitter, the brand released the date January 4 as the day that will introduce the chip to the world.

The Exynos 9810, which won the Innovation Awards at CES 2018, will hit the market as the successor to Exynos 8895, being based on the second generation of 10 nm, manufactured using FinFET process.

It will feature Samsung’s third-generation custom cores as well as a modem capable of supporting LTE Cat. 18 6CA, delivering download speeds of up to 1.2Gbps.

The GPU would be owned by Mali G72, which compared to the previous model, would present up to 40% more performance.

The first smartphones on the market with the new Samsung chip will be the Galaxy S9 and S9 +, scheduled to launch during MWC 2018 in February.
