(DxOMark) iPhone 11 Pro was unable to beat the mid range Mi Note 10

The iPhone 11 Pro is the first Apple smartphone in many years that really tries to compete with the world’s biggest Android in the field of photography. However, it seems that this is not yet the latest iOS smartphone to top the table of the reputed website DxOMark.

The iPhone 11 Pro Max received a lot of praise for the main camera, but the Wide-Angle sensor eventually lowered the total score.

So the DxOMark website was really impressing with the photographic capabilities of the iPhone 11 Pro Max, achieving excellent results in all test environments. At the same time, it brought even more efficient and faster auto-focus to the table.

Incidentally, the new iPhone even managed to beat Pixel 4, a smartphone that historically has had a strong focus on photographic quality. (Pixel 4 seems to be a pretty fail for Google.)

However, not everything is a bed of roses for the photographic capability of the iPhone 11 Pro Max… After all, it lagged behind Xiaomi’s new mid-range Mi Note 10 (CC9 Pro).

Thus, according to the Review, there is a significant loss of detail when we talk about zoomed-in photos. As well as grain visible in all light conditions. However, in images with the flash on, the detail also seems to fall short. But nowadays, who uses flash with available Night Mode?

As if that were not enough, the video capture on the iPhone 11 Pro Max seems to offer a kind of gelatin effect, if you happen to record while walking. Something that may be fixed in a future software update.

That said, DxOMark ends the analysis by saying that the new iPhone is really a great choice if it is already inside the Apple ecosystem. However, it still takes a few taps to correct defects that curiously already existed on the iPhone XS.
