Elephone PX Mini Review – Dual Selfie Camera, Price, Performance & Full Specs

Elephone PX Mini comes as a smartphone with reduced specifications and features. Therefore it has the mini attached to its name but like the Elephone PX, it has notch display, and four cameras. As anyone should expect, this version comes with a lesser price. However, in this full specifications guide of the PX Mini, we will see if the features found herein justify the price.

Design and Display of Elephone PX Mini

Body design in Elephone PX Mini is a mixture of plastic and metal. However, the manufacturer makes the design inspirational as much as you can find in any modern smartphone. Weight and dimensions are not clear right now but we know that this device is not water resistant.  The color of this smartphone is black for now, no other color included. Probably, when it is finally released, there will be more colors to choose from.

Display type in Elephone PX Mini is HD+ IPS LCD capacitive touch screen. The screen size is 5.99 inches, which makes one think of Elephone PX Mini as a gaming smartphone. There are 16 million colors and it is multi-touch screen.

Pixel density is 282 pixels per inch, screen to body ratio is 78 percent, and aspect ratio is 19:9. Protection features are scratch resistance, and 2.5D curved glass screen. There is no secondary display here at all.

Camera Features

To the rear of Elephone PX Mini there is dual camera setup of 13 MP plus 2 MP with dual LED features. In addition, there is also f/2.2 aperture and the video performance is placed at 1080p@30fps for the rear shooters. Other features include auto focus, continuous shooting, digital zoom, exposure compensation, face detection, geo-tagging, HDR, ISO settings, panorama, and more.

For the secondary cameras to the front, there is 8 MP plus 2 MP shooters that came with minimal features. In view of this, the dual camera is able to handle flash and the aperture in here is also f/2.2.

Elephone PX Mini Hardware and Software

Operating system in the device is Android 8.1 Oreo (modified interface) which can go for upgrade to the latest Android at any time. In addition, there is MediaTek Helio P22 with process technology 12nm. CPU is Octa-core 2.0 GHz 8-Cores with 64-bit architecture. The GPU is PowerVR GE8320 2-Cores. All these work together to enhance speed and smooth operation during multi-tasking.

Storage Capacity

The smartphone storage consists of 3GB of RAM that cannot be expanded, but the internal storage is 32GB which can be increased to 128GB with the use of a microSD card.

Network and Connectivity

Internet network and connectivity includes 2G (GSM), 3G (WCDMA, HSDPA), and 4G (LTE). These are able to operate with dual SIM cards placed in two slots. Other connectivity include commons such as Wi-Fi, hotspot, microUSB 2.0, 3.5mm audio jack, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, and more.

However, there is no provision for infrared or NFC in these components.

Battery Life

Powering Elephone PX Mini is sturdy Li-Po 3500 mAh capacity non-removable battery. Though there is no wireless charging facility in here, there is fast charging technology in the device, which means the user may be able to charge the phone from zero percent to 100 percent in just about two hours.

Price and Availability

The Elephone PX Mini will sell for about $150 USD. It has been announced in the month of October 2018. However, we don’t expect it to be revealed until the month of December 2018.
