Nomi i5032 Evo X2 launched with 16GB Storage – Review, Specs and Price

The Nomi i5032 Evo X2 was launched alongside the i5012 Evo M2 as budget friendly smartphones. Unlike the i5012 Evo M2, the i5032 Evo X2 packs more specs and features and retails affordably as well.

Definitely an upgrade from the phone i reviewed earlier, coming with 16GB Storage, 2GB RAM and 8MP rear camera. Do you want to know more about the Nomi i5032 Evo X2? Stay with me.

A combination of Plastic and Metal at the back here, both elements came together to make this affordable masterpiece. The dual antenna lines at the top and bottom corner sure adds to the beauty of the device. Moving further, the rear camera is at the top left while the LED flash is right beside it.

The fingerprint scanner is at the usual position for easy access, while the loudspeaker is at the bottom corner. It measures 9.5 mm in thickness, a little bit slimmer than its brother. Overall, it weighs just 181g and available in Gold
Gray and Black colors.

To be honest, i don’t think there’s much of a difference in terms of quality display. But its less powerful brother offers more screen than bezels unlike what I’m seeing here. The i5032 Evo X2 could only reach 58% screen to body ratio, which is very disheartening in 2024.

Nonetheless, it sports three navigation buttons at the bottom bezel, while the screen dishes out a 16:9 aspect ratio. Speaking of screens, the 5-inch HD IPS capacitive touchscreen has the same 1280 x 720 pixels in resolution. With a 294 pixel per inch density, as it displays like most budget smartphones.

Hardware and Software

Running the race here is the MediaTek MT6580A chip boasting of 32-bit CPU architecture with 4-cores of processor. The Quad-core processor reaches a speed of 1.3GHz with a 28nm process technology for normal performance. In the graphics department, the ARM Mali-400 MP2 graphics processor is in charge coming with 2-cores.

Now you can multitask with 2GB of RAM on the i5032 Evo X2, the RAM reaches a memory speed of 533MHz. There’s a bigger 16GB Storage space now to store all files and apps, you can always upgrade up to 64GB anytime you want. The i5032 Evo X2 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with modified user interface.

Capture 3K resolution images with the 8MP rear camera which boasts of 1.12 μm pixel size and 1/4 sensor size. With the i5032 Evo X2 you can take photographs with 3266 x 2449 pixels in dimension. An improved camera compared to what we saw on its little brother, with an improved 5MP selfie camera as well.

Powering the Nomi i5032 Evo X2 is a 2500mAh removable Li-Ion battery with no fast charging technology. Even without the fast charging feature, it shouldn’t take more than 2 hours to fully charge up the battery from 0% to 100%.

  1. Nice smartphone with a very awesome specification but the battery capacity is not making the phone to be friendly with Nigeria user because of the power outage in nigeria
