To turn subtitles or alternate audio on or off in Netflix on iPhone or iPad, follow the steps below.

  1. Open the Netflix app on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Next, play any TV show or movie you want.
  3. Now, tap anywhere on the screen and then tap on the Dialog icon at the top right corner of the screen.
  4. Next up, select your preferred audio or subtitle options. This will enable alternative audio or subtitles.
  5. Finally, tap on the X icon to continue watching.

Note – While viewing downloaded titles, you can select only the default subtitle and audio options available for your region. If language preferences are enabled on your account, you might be allowed to select a corresponding subtitle and audio options only if they are available for that title.
