Fero Mobiles, a company known for producing many smartphones, made an entry into the tablet market last year with its Pad 7, a tablet that offers fluid performance on a compact yet large-enough 7-inch display for as long as 3500mAh would last. Now, the company has released a successor to that, called the Fero Pad 8.
Some components like the battery and chipset have been upgraded, but the company didn’t see the need for better cameras or a larger RAM. Come to think of it, you don’t need to take selfies or play Grand Theft Auto on a tablet, do you?

Design & Display
The Fero Pad 7 came with a 7-inch display, so the Fero Pad 8 should come with what display size? Yeah, you guessed right; it comes with a display size of 8 inches. The resolution has been upgraded to 1200 * 800 (HD).
The design of the Fero Pad 8 is similar to that of its predecessor. Its top bezel consists of the selfie camera, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor and gravity sensor at the front and its main camera and LED flash at the back, while the bottom bezel is empty at the front and back. Of course, the tablet still sports a metal aluminium design.
Storage & Processor
In terms of memory, things still remain pretty much the same here. The RAM size is 1GB, and the internal storage remains 8GB. The expandable storage limit has however been increased to 64GB.
The tablet is powered by a faster quad-core MediaTek MT8735 processor with a speed of 1.3GHz.
Camera
Thngs haven’t changed at all in the photography department. There’s still a 5MP camera with LED flash at the rear, and a 2MP selfie shooter picture camera at the back.
Battery & Connectivity
Fero has recognised the need for tablets to last long since they are usually used for intense work, and has increased the battery capacity to 5000mAh in the Pad 8.
The phone comes with a dual micro-SIM slot and supports 4G LTE networks.
Software
Fero isn’t ready to start deploying Android 7.0 Nougat in its devices yet, and has stuck with the version of Android most readily available to them and acceptable to consumers, Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
