Google Camera Go – Brings Pixel Portrait Mode to Android Go smartphones

Google has announced that there are now more than 100 million Android Go smartphones out there. That’s an impressive number, especially considering that the first smartphone of its kind came out on the shelves about three years ago.

In addition, since there are so many Android Go smartphones, Google has released the first standalone camera app specifically designed for low-end smartphones.

What is Camera Go by Google

The new app is called Camera Go, it is much lighter than other camera apps, is smaller in size, and less complex. It also brings interesting features to Android Go smartphones, such as Google Pixel ‘s Portrait Mode.

An interesting feature of Camera Go is that it monitors the free storage that the smartphone has and offers tips on how the user can free up extra space if needed.

The Nokia 1.3, announced just yesterday the HMD Global, has preinstalled Camera Go, and the app will soon be available in more Android Go smartphones.

Nokia 1.3

It’s worth noting the features of Nokia 1.3 as an example for those who don’t know how low-end Android Go smartphones are. The Nokia 1.3 has a 5.71-inch screen with a resolution of 1,520 × 720 pixels.

Inside the smartphone, you’ll find the Snapdragon 215, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a 3.000mAh battery, and the smartphone runs Android Go. The Nokia 1.3 camera module has a single camera at 13MP and the selfie is at 5MP and is mounted on a notch.
