Google Maps welcomes brutal feature!

It’s very likely that you’re driving a lot less, so maybe you don’t even remember what Google Maps is for. However, with the return to normality in several countries (like ours!). Google didn’t let itself sleep, so it’s already preparing a series of updates for a kind of big rentrée.

That said, in case you didn’t know, both the teams behind Google Maps and Waze (both Google applications) brought several features with COVID-19 in mind. Trying to make life easier for users who really needed to leave home for one reason or another.

However, the news coming to the application now has nothing to do with Coronavirus, we are talking about significant changes in the real-time location sharing system, which is now even easier to use.

Google Maps welcomes a bomb feature!

Therefore, real-time location sharing has several uses outside this epidemic world. After all, having the ability to see in real-time where a friend or loved one is is just brutal, especially when they agree to go to a certain place, but no one knows where anyone is. In other words, event planning has never been easier than it is now.

That said, Google is currently sending the update to all users, first via an app update, and later with changes on the server-side. So, when the update arrives on your machine, you just need to upload your photo and go to Location Sharing to access the feature. See the differences:

In the meantime, know that you will need version 10.40.2 to have access to the new interface, and of course, wait for everything to arrive in your region. However, according to Android Police, just install the new version on Android phones to access the functionality and interface.
