How To Change Siri’s Voice In iOS 14.5

Siri is a voice assistant on Apple devices that works like Amazon’s Alexa, Microsoft’s Cortana, and Google’s Google Assistant. It is available across most of Apple’s devices, including iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and HomePod, and it absolutely gets the job done.

Users are allowed to ask Siri all types of questions, including easy queries about the weather and more complicated questions about footballer scores, the number of calories in meals, etc. Siri also helps with enabling or disabling settings, finding content, settings alarms, and reminders, placing calls, sending texts, e.t.c.

Like I wrote above, too many Apple devices have support for the “Hey Siri” activation command, but the latest iPads, iPhones, Macs, and Apple Watches provide hands-free “Hey Siri” support even when you don’t connect them to power, meaning the “Hey Siri” trigger can be used at any time to activate Siri.

When various devices that can respond to “Hey Siri” commands are available for those who do not know, the devices use Bluetooth to determine which one should respond to the request; therefore, there will be no simultaneous response. Apple even said the device that heard you best or the most recently raised device or used would take charge of responding.

Siri’s dominance is clear as it is available in more than 35 countries around the world, including the U.S., UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, plus many nations in Asia, Europe, and specific features like translations, sports info, restaurant information and reservations, movie information and showtimes, dictionary, and calculations are restricted to a smaller number of countries.

For all Apple is known for and all about, Siri is definitely one of the most iconic products the world is grateful for. However, if you need a break from Siri’s recognizable voice, do not worry because Apple gives users the option to personalize it.

With the launch of iOS 14.5, Apple has added 2 new Siri voices. For those who do not know, Siri will no longer default to a female-sounding voice when you set up a new device – a feature that has caused controversies for perpetuating harmful gender stereotypes.
