The only app which have successfully hidden an app on the iOS platform depended on a bug in the operating system to do so which, as you might have already guessed, have been longed fixed. However, we improvised and came up with a Nifty little trick to hide apps on your iPhone.

How To Hide Apps On iPhone

The Goal here is to get the apps you would like to hide away from the home screen to somewhere else, probably where only you – the owner of the device – can find it.

  • First thing you wanna do is locate an already existing folder on your iPhone screen with apps you rarely use or don’t use at all. Apps like Calendar, calculator, Notes etc. If you don’t have a folder on your home screen, you can create one by long pressing on one app and dragging it onto another app. This will create a folder with the two apps – the one you dragged and the one there already.
  • Once the folder has been created, all you have to do is move the apps you rarely used to that folder by long pressing on the apps and dragging it onto the folder. After doing that, you can now move the app you want to hide to that same folder.

  • You’ll also have make sure that there are enough apps in the folder, probably 9 apps or more so that the app doesn’t show when the folder is not opened and even if it gets opened, the app should be at the very bottom Inside the folder. (You can rearrange the apps in the folder by long pressing and dragging each one to place)

  • Lastly, you’ll have to move the whole folder to the second, third or any other page of the home screen, just not the first page of the home screen where it is most likely to be opened by anybody. This last step is not compulsory but it will help keep the app away from intruders.

That’s pretty much how to hide apps on iPhone. When next someone else picks up your phone and See the folder, it’ll mostly liked look like a folder with a bunch of useless apps. However, some people might still be able to stumble upon the app while navigating through your phone.
