The two latest phones that were launched with a slider front facing camera is the Huawei Honor Magic 2 and the Lenovo Z5 Pro. Both phones were launched the same month with a premium body design and impressive cameras as well. We will be comparing the Huawei Magic 2 with the Lenovo Z5 Pro smartphone.

On the body, the Huawei Honor Magic 2 looks more stunning than it’s rival. The phone sport a triple rear camera in a vertical arrangement similar to the Huawei P20 smartphone.
It’s built with a premium material and it has a slider front facing the camera with display fingerprint scanner. It measures 8.3 in thickness and weighs 206 gram. The Lenovo Z5 Pro is not looking bad at all in the body. Although the panel is not that classic, still the phone has a slider camera giving it similar looks with the Magic 2. It has a dual camera on the back with an LED flash and an in-display fingerprint scanner for security.  It’s also thicker than it’s rival as it measures 9.3mm and weighs 210 gram. The Lenovo Z5 Pro is available in Black color only, while the Honor Magic 2 is available in Blue and Purple.

On the front, both phones have the same 6.39-inch screen. The Lenovo Z5 Pro is equipped with a super AMOLED display while the Honor magic 2 uses an AMOLED display. Furthermore, they have the same screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, 19:9 aspect ratio and a pixel per inch density of 403. This means users will be getting decent and clear visuals from both phones.

In terms of camera, the Honor Magic 2 features six cameras set-up, while the Lenovo Z5 Pro features four cameras set-up. At the front, you will get another triple camera of the 16MP main camera with f/2.0 and another two 2MP + 2MP secondary camera, both with f/2.4 aperture. The Lenovo Z5 Pro offers dual rear cameras of 16MP + 24MP with f/1.8 and f/2.8 aperture respectively. For selfies, you will get another combo cameras of a 16MP main shooter with f/2.2 aperture and another 8MP camera. Both phones features LED flash, however, the Huawei Honor Magic 2 will takes better photos than it’s rival.

The Huawei Honor Magic 2 has Mali-G76 MP10 in charge of graphics, while the Lenovo Z5 Pro has Adreno 616 GPU. The Honor Magic 2 is available in 6GB and 8GB RAM with built-in storage of 128GB and 256GB. The Lenovo Z5 Pro, on the other hand, is available in 6GB RAM with internal memory of 64GB or 128GB. The Lenovo Z5 Pro runs on Android 8.1 Orea, while the Honor Magic 2 runs on Android 9.0 Pie software.

Judging from the specs above, it’s obvious the Lenovo Z5 Pro is no match to the Honor Magic 2 smartphone. In terms of design and performance, the Honor Magic 2 wins. The Lenovo Z5 Pro will make a better alternative because of the slider design and it’s more affordable as well. If you have the money, the Honor Magic 2 will be your best bet, but if you are looking for a budget device, then you should go for the Lenovo Z5 Pro.
