Infinix Note 5 has officially been announced by Infinix Mobility. The device will be launched this Saturday on the 24th of June 2018 in Dubai. However, we’ve got the exclusive photos and specs of Infinix’s most anticipated device of the year, the Infinix Note 5.

The successor to the Note 4 sports the trending bezel-less display, this was evident through the leaks and teaser photos released by the company. The Note 5 brings AI and offers better images, VR and AR capabilities. It’s powered by Android One, with 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage. Let’s find out more.

The Infinix Note 5 looks completely different from the previous Note series. From the photos, we can see the fingerprint scanner is now rear mounted and in a more flattering position than last year’s version. As expected it has a glossy back as well, this reflects light in the most subtle way.

The rear camera and LED flash are now in a horizontal position at the top left corner, just as we saw on the Infinix Hot 6 and Hot 6 Pro. The device has its SIM tray by the side along with power and volume buttons, it doesn’t come with X-Pen support though.

The trending 18:9 aspect ratio screen has finally found its way to the Note series and it’s not really surprising to say the least. Although, it looks like Infinix isn’t ready to completely get rid of the top and bottom bezels just yet.

Nonetheless, it’s built around a 6-inch FHD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. This tall screen boasts of 1080 x 2160 pixels in resolution and 402 pixels per inch density, offering amazing display quality. This is also the first Note Phablet from Infinix with over 78% screen-to-body ratio.

Hardware and Software

Infinix isn’t new to MediaTek’s chips, as the Note 5 adopts the Mediatek Helio P23 MT6763T chip which was built on a 16nm process technology. The octa-core processor on this device clocks at an impressive speed of 2.0GHz. While the ARM Mali-G71 MP2 graphics processor clocks at 770MHz.

As expected, there’s 3GB of RAM which lets you multitask apps smoothly with a memory speed of over 933GHz. You can also store up files and apps on the 32GB storage space available, there’s an option to upgrade up to 128GB using a memory card. The Infinix Note 5 runs on Stock Android 8.1 Oreo.

This device is equipped with a rear 12MP camera that boasts of f/2.0 aperture and 1.25um pixel size. The camera is AI-powered and comes with lots of features like a dual-LED flash and others to enhance your photography skills. The 16MP selfie camera at the front has f/2.0 aperture as well and takes cute selfies with beautifying technology.

Battery

Powering the Infinix Note 5 is a 4500mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 1.9 hours.
