Instagram Adds support for Voice messages

The popular photo sharing app have added a new feature to the platform which is the ability to send voice messages in the direct message. This is coming after the recent overhaul in User Interface some weeks back which leads me to say that Instagram isn’t done yet but i digress, so back to the voice messages. No, you’re not allow to send prerecorded voice messages only the one recorded in the app. Also, Voice messages have a maximum limit of 1 minute, similar to one on Facebook. In fact, the newly added voice message feature is more or less a carbon copy of the one on Facebook.

Instagram made the announcement via a post on the popular micro-blogging platform – Twitter – stating the feature is also rolling out as we speak and users of the platform should expect to see a microphone icon in both your group and one-on-one chats when next you access the Instagram app. Also, the feature is for both the iOS and Android platform.

So when next you log in to your Instagram app on your android or iOS device, you will be able to talk the way you want to be heard or simply ignore that and still type like you do before. What do you think of this newly added feature ? And most importantly, will you be making use of it ? Do let us know in the comment section download below.
