Itel P31 was introduced by the company earlier this year, the phone boasts of a massive 5000mAh battery. According to the company, you’ll only need to charge the battery once every three days.
The phone is perfect for travellers on a budget and those who don’t have access to constant electricity. Apart from the massive battery capacity, there’s 8GB storage space and 5MP selfie camera. Lets meet the Itel P31.
Design
Itel loves Plastic on their budget smartphones and the P31 has a Plastic body as well. The device has a two different shades of design, the antenna line at the top separates the lower body (which is a little rough for a firm grip) from the smooth top.
Looking at the top left corner, we can see the rear camera and LED flash in a horizontal position. Because of the battery capacity, it’s quite bulky, measuring 9.9mm in thickness and weighing over 200g. It’s available in Gold, Grey, Blue and Brown.
Display
The P31 ships with so much bezels, well this could be forgiven, since the phone was released before the company went bezel-less with the S42. There are three navigation buttons here at the bottom bezel, while the top houses the usual features.
The 5-inch HD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen dishes out small visuals for small screen lovers. With a resolution of 854 X 480 pixels and 195 pixel per inch density, don’t expect magic from the screen though. Overall, the screen could only stretch up to 65% screen to body ratio.
Hardware and Software
Running the race here is the MediaTek MT6580W chip with Quad-Core processor and 64-bit CPU architecture. The 4-Cores of processor here clocks at a slow speed of 1.25GHz with 28nm process technology. Handling graphics, is the ARM Mali-400 MP2 clocking at 416MHz.
Multitask through light apps with just 1GB of RAM space available, it’s memory speed won’t exceed 533MHz max. In terms of storage, 8GB is available, however, you can always upgrade up to 32GB using a memory card. The Itel P31 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with modified user interface.
Camera
There’s a 5MP rear camera which comes with a LED flash as well for all your photography needs. The camera has internal features that you can use to enhance your photographs before you take them. There’s another 5MP selfie shooter for all your daily selfies.
Battery
Powering the Itel P31 is a 5000mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with no fast charging technology. Without the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% might take up to 3.4 hours.
