Koobee F1 is now available on shopping stores, the device is the first smartphone from the F series, which means “Focus” and “Fun”. The device is a selfie focused smartphone with a 16MP selfie camera that has an interpolated resolution of up to 80MP.
Apart from its selfie prowess, the F1 doesn’t shy away when it comes to getting things done. There’s 4GB of RAM, 64GB storage, 4G LTE support, an octa-core processor, there’s another dual 16MP + 16MP shooters at the back as well. Lets find out more.
Design
The F1 smartphone sports a Metallic back that’s covered exquisitely in Glass, this makes it reflect light in the most subtle way. Of course it comes with a fingerprint scanner which gives you quick and fast access to the device.
On top of the fingerprint scanner, is the dual rear shooters in a vertical position and a LED flash beside it. This sleek device measures just 7.9mm in thickness and weighs 179g overall. It was launched in Black, Gold, Rose-Gold and Blue colors, but a Green and Red later popped up as well.
Display
It dishes out an 18:9 aspect ratio screen from the front, this will give users the full view experience. There are no side bezels in sight, the screen stretches all the way to the extreme sides. However, the top and bottom bezel are still thick and very visible.
Focusing on the screen, the 5.7-inch HD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen displays nice visuals. With a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels and 282 pixel per inch density, details on the screen should be clear enough for users. The 3D Curved Glass on top provides scratch resistant, while the screen covers 76% of the front.
Hardware and Software
Under the hood, the MediaTek MT6750 chip is in charge and comes with an Octa-Core processor and 64-bit CPU architecture. The 8-Cores of processor here runs at the standard speed of 1.5GHz with 28nm process technology. While the Mali-T860 MP2 graphics processor from ARM clocks at 520MHz with 4-Cores.
Multitask all your heavy apps with 4GB RAM, it has a memory speed of 667MHz as well. In terms of storage, the 64GB storage space can easily be upgraded up to 128GB, that’s if you need more space to store files. The Koobee F1 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with Dido OS 7.6.
Camera
The dual 16MP + 16MP shooter has f/2.0 and f/2.0 aperture respectively. The Sony IMS298 Exmor RS CMOS Sensors with 1.132 um Pixel Size takes breathtaking photographs as well and comes with a LED flash for night shoots. Features on the camera includes Autofocus, Continuous shooting, Digital zoom, Exposure compensation, Face detection, Geotagging, HDR, ISO settings, Panorama, Scene mode, Self-timer, Touch focus, Professional Mode, Phase Detection and more. While the 16MP selfie camera takes care of selfies.
Battery
Powering the Koobee F1 is a 3000mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 2 hours.
