LibreOffice is a very popular alternative to MS Office. It is an open source software. Most of the Linux distros are mainly focusing on to build software for 64-bit Linux desktops only and neglecting the 32-bit architecture. But LibreOffice has released the 32-bit version of it to download and use it on the 32-bit Linux desktops.
The stable version 6.3 of LibreOffice will be released in the middle of the August month 2019. You can download the Beta 1 version of LibreOffice from Document Foundation. LibreOffice 6.3 Beta 1 version is also available for MacOS and windows and it can also be installed along with the actual version of it.
According to the Document Foundation release note, when the company released the LibreOffice 6.2 build in February 2019 and the company clear that no more builds will be made for 32-bit Linux systems after LibreOffice 6.2. But still, the LibreOffice 6.3 build will be released for 32-bit Linux based OS.
According to the Document’s Foundation’s Italo Vignoli, Distos vendors or anyone owning a 32-bit Linux desktop can still build LibreOffice based on 32-bit architecture as the Developers have not removed the 32-bit compatibility from the software’s source code. It was said to the Bleeping Computer.
The Document Foundation says that 683 commits have been submitted to the code repository and 141 bugs have been fixed in Bugzilla since the release of LibreOffice 6.3 Alpha 1. And this company requests you to report in Bugzilla if you find any bug or error while using LibreOffice 6.3 Beta 1 version so that the reported bugs get fixed before the release of the stable version.
