The expected Moto Z Play (Vertex) smartphone from Lenovo was spotted recently on Zauba. Zauba is an import tracking website which tracks goods that enter India daily through the ports.
Apparently, the Moto Z Play, which also goes by the code name Vertex, is heading for testing in India. The device was logged as Motorola Vertex and was transported from Canada by air freight on July 2.
The listing gave a few specifications of the much-touted device which is expected to launch any moment from now.
Moto Z Play (Vertex) Specifications
The listing revealed that the Moto Z Play (Vertex) crams in a 5.5-inch capacitive touch display. The device was listed as Motorola Vertex, which has been known all along as the codename of the Moto Z Play.
The Moto Z Vertex had earlier appeared on popular benchmark website Geekbench. The Geekbench listing uploaded on June 16, 2016, showed the Moto Z Play (Vertex) would feature an Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 processor which comes with Adreno 506 GPU. The benchmark listing also indicated that the device would run Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.
Before now, there have been speculations about the specifications of the Moto Z Play with rumours fly around. Some of the specs the device is touted to come with include the presence of a huge 16MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash, as well as a fingerprint sensor. Under the hood, the device is also said to pack a 3500mAh battery.
The Moto Z Play’s appearance on Zauba shows that the device is headed to India for the test, and that may just be an indication that Lenovo will launch the device in a short while.
